Check out this Fall mix by Vinyl Exam writer, Matt Scott. Here is a note from him:
Since November 8 I've found my appetite for music has been different than usual, as I'm guessing it has for a lot of people. I've been seeking comfort in mellower sounds. Every year I make a fall mix for friends that's usually just full of my favorite tunes of the moment, but this one is different - it's shorter and it's got a moodier feel. The opening track is a gospel number, and there's a lonely country ballad a few tracks later, and many of the songs are in minor keys or have string sections. But I couldn't help but throw in some tasty funk as well - special mention goes to the second track, Blackrock "Yeah Yeah" from 1971, which must be one of the most joyous, endlessly relistenable funk instrumentals out there.
